About
the "Women" Collection

It All Began with An Idea: Talking about us!

In our first collection, the idea was to talk about “our own colors” inside, as two women founders, about the women within us & around us. With each artist, we focus on different aspects of women.

What makes us so excited are the individuality and originality put in the designs. After several sketches and exchange of words, the artists, with their own authentic voices turn the idea into living and breathing works of art.

Pay close attention to the small beautiful details, in this collection individual stories unite under the figures of Moon and Sun!

Follow our Creative Journey through the minds of our artists!

About
the Design

The historical women figures on the pattern is a reference to the ones who lived in the ancient times and left their marks or even changed the course of history with their physical and mental power, as also mentioned in many myths. Sometimes as a warrior or sometimes as a mentor and a leader… They are the heroic figures whose names and stories will never be forgotten.

What can be more relevant than putting on some powerful women drawings in a business meeting in today’s world! Having pointed out this, we would love to be real in our stories. That is why, warrior women depicts represent not only the times we have the full power in us, but also the moments we have to have the strength and yet do not feel like.

The magnificent details of the warriors and cool earthy color palette by the artist are inviting a closer look.

About
the Artist

Mete Kaplan Eker, an illustrator from Turkey, is the artist behind our In Search of a Warrior in Me design.

He defines his illustrations as ‘living the history in present’. This is mainly because it is where he gets his inspiration. He likes to use the colors, characters and stories of the historical artworks in his illustrations.

The dusty, natural and earth pigments that are used on fresco paintings are what he is passionate about the most. He enjoys coming across to these details sometimes on a wall of a church located in a cave, on an ancient civilization’s outfit or in an expression of a heroic tale’s character.

It is no surprise for us that he could easily spend hours in front of an art piece in a museum or a gallery. Being able to understand an artist from ancient times and feel what she/he feels sound absolutely exciting! That is why, Mete Eker Kaplan uses his drawing skills to be able to meet with people, hidden in the dusty pages of the history.

While working on our collaboration with him, we didn’t want to go far from his passion of historical details, that is what we love about his magical drawings in the first place, so we set the topic around it.
